I'm not too deep into Graphic Design and have a question regarding Stock Image Websites. Do many designers actually use Stock Image accounts and by alot of the images they use? Is it common for a designer to have an account they pay for and pay for many images for designs?

    Thanks for the help

    Hi

Yes it is very common practise for graphic designers to use stock images for brochures, leaflets, flyers, etc. Some people use them for album artwork, and as inspiration for tshirt designs too. istockphoto is a good, and cheap one to use. I have used it in the past.

    agreed.

I would suggest taking your own photos though, while most do not, it gives you absolute free reign over the outcome of the finished product, instead of searching for stock images to complete to your ideas you can conform your own image to the idea. ...but it I still use a lot of stock images, but I also take majority of my own images.
