adamjacob on May 10, 2011Hello! I'm some what new on here and haven't had time to jump into the forums much! So Hi, I'm Adam!
I need some advice! I'm graduating this year from high school (woot!) and my school asked me to redesign the graduation program booklet cover thing. I designed it and they loved the design but they would like me to use a script font! -_-

I need some advice on how to mix a script font with my awesome san-serif design! They want me to use the script font for the information that is on the bottom part of the cover. I have been searching the interwebs for a "modern" script font or anything that would mix well but no luck yet. I have tried a lot of the "traditional" looking script fonts and none of them mix well. Anyone have any ideas on how to make the fonts mix well or should I tell them to shove their script fonts up there yea... haha
Thanks!

Hey Adam,
good job for being in high school!
My suggestion : "celebrating 10 years" should be in script, but don't confine it to the circle, let the script break the plane of the circle.
Also. erase the thin black stroke around the wavy line, so the white of the letters bleeds into the bottom white.
Just my opinion looking at this quickly.
Great work though my man! -
Skull With Hair on May 10, 2011welcome man. check out www.LetterheadFonts.com for some good ornamental type.
i don't know what you perceive to be a "modern script" but i figure its something along these lines...
Sarah Script

Alpine Script

adamjacob on May 12, 2011Thanks everyone! I just went with a traditional script and left the top half the same. I just allowed lots of white space for the script font to breath!
