it's a ghost town now, man. I frequently check the site and...dead.

Yeah, it's because of the hacking that happened a few months back. I'd imagine that scared off a lot of people. I know it did me! I only just recently tried coming back. But seriously, for like months I'd try to even just type it into GOOGLE and I'd get my anti-virus saying a Trojan was attempting to hit my system. So that's enough to make anyone stay away for a long time. Shame.

I havent uploaded anything in a while, myself. I love this site, but yeah everything kind of came to a halt.

I actually think it'd be a wise idea to give all current members 3-5 more invites just to get a new influx of members. There are plenty of new people that post here occasionally, and I'd totally give them a code but I am all out. Unfortunately, when someone visits a new site and can not upload their work, they will quickly move onto a place that will let them. It's not an issue of accepting lower quality work in this case, though. It's about those that ARE still here simply can't invite the people that would help the community grow. Just my 2 cents.

we need community projects again. I'm always lurking, but there is never anything fun to post/talk about.

I'm always down for community art things. There was a really fun one that I participated in on another art forum called "Kill My Character". The person who started the thread would draw a picture of some character they created. Then the next person to reply would draw a picture of their new character killing the first person's character in some creative way. Then each person that replies just keeps killing the last person's character. It was really fun to first of all see people show off their interesting creations, but then also see how they would envision their character killing another. Just a fun thing. Most people's art devolved into pretty silly, cartoony stuff (since everyone is always busy), but it was a blast.

hmm, I used to post in the "post your vinyl" thread, but that hasn't been fixed. any news on fixing/making the site safer?

We fixed the hacker problems a bit ago, so that shouldn't be an issue anymore. Is anyone still seeing Google warnings for BandJob? That all should be clean now, so let me know if you're seeing anything. We definitely want to get some community stuff going soon. We've just been insanely busy with The Black Axe.

I know I may not be up to the quality that you guys want a member to be yet, but I will say that because I can't post stuff on here I don't visit the site as much as I used to. I tried posting to the forums to get feedback on a project, but only seemed to get told by 3 people that the same thing was wrong with but no suggestions on how to fix it. So it kinda steered me away from posting all together. Regardless, I love coming here and checking out the new work and possible jobs but figured you guys would like some input on a member in the situation you were discussing.

I think we should have a website re-design contest! This white stinks, hurts my sensitive eyes (haha). Lets get a new theme going for 2012. Yea?

I vote for clear, that way you can see right through your computer and straight out the window!

I was thinking more simple, like 3D. You need special 3D glasses to view the content on BandJob, it'll be members only cult status site.
