Hey guys, I've been playing around with this piece for a little bit and just wanted to get some feedback on it. This is just an idea I had for a cover and wanted to mock it up, haven't found anyone that wants it yet is all.

What can be done different? Improved? Any type of criticism is welcome. The box is where the bands name and album title will go.

    Thanks!

What is the concept here? What was your idea? Title?

One quick crit, on my iPhone so not going to detail it. Too many hard lines here. The horizon n the box not very visually pleasing to cut the soft image up with hard lines

so you are saying soften up the box? or get rid of it completely and do something else? i get what you are saying now about the hard lines. i see way too many "boxes" in the image now. so maybe just get rid of the boxes at the top all together.

as far as the concept, i was kind of going for a "lost at sea" type of thing. hopes, dreams, ideas, just lots of things from life get "lost" in the wind and end up in the world or the "sea". it was just a quick idea and a quick mock up. all in all, i think its just kind of a cool image.

A band emailed me about this cover and wanted to see what it looked like with their name and album title. I found that the box just wasn't working. I feel this works much better.

the umbrellas do not really look integrated, too slapped on (still).

Ok, how would you integrate them more?

The umbrellas in the background don't look right to me either, they look stuck on like Jupit said but they're also way too big, the one furthest away would probably be the size of a ship in reality.

yeah i caught that last night when i was posting this again. it has changed.

i appreciate the criticism fellas, but what do you all suggest for making them not look "placed in". i put them behind some atmosphere, i blurred them. the two front ones i added water splashes to the bottom.

I kind of think it is just a font. I assumed it was, anyways
