that was nuts, id be stoked for whatever this is attached to not crazy about what they did with baraka but i dig that its all real life like

as i stated on emptees, i couldn't possibly be more excited for whatever this ends up being. hell, even if this was just a self-contained 7 minute thing and nothing more, i'm crazy stoked on it. i'm going to assume this is some kind of trailer for the new games since e3 is coming up soon. if it is, they change a ton of stuff and this game is going to be weird, but still super excited.

They've reported that it will be a movie now right? If so I'm sure they'll release a game with it. I'm kind of sad to see Mortal Kombat change so much, but what else could they have done with the story? A reboot was probably needed.

im not sure if it's official or not that there's a movie. A good point was made that this looks like it was shot to script, not an excerpt from a feature length or anything like that. It could still be part of something bigger, but im pretty sure it was made specifically to fit the 7 minute format as a tease. I have a hard time buying that this would be a theatre release whatever it is too. The video game community is way more forgiving and loyal to the franchise than movie goers would be. So im thinking its a game with a miniseries attached to it

wow, i can't believe this is on here! i found this nerding around elsewhere, and someone brought up how Michael Jai White (Jaxx) apparently started (the hilarious) Black Dynamite film by personally self funding a 7 minute trailer, which then got his movie made. it would be amazing if he did the same thing here. i can't believe how pumped i am to see this elongated

I'm pretty sure this a teaser for a movie, they said they were re-booting the franchise like 18 months ago. As a very casual gamer, even I can say I'm beyond excited for this. Also, fuck that showboat Johnny Cage.

they put out a web series that they released called "Legacy" www.DreadCentral.com is where I saw it, there were a few episodes that got such outstanding ratings I think they decided to push it into movie production.
