I am actually really happy that Apple is pushing HTML5 and CSS3 standards forward across their platforms. Internet browsing is archaic, and while I think it's WRONG not to support Flash, it's RIGHT to encourage browser-developers to finally integrate HTML5, since it's so much more robust and helpful to designers and developers.

Maybe we'll finally be able to use HTML5 across the board in 3 years instead of 6 or 7.

while i'm happy that apple is trying to push things forward. those examples really only support webkit browsers (safari). the pages use a browser check thing to block other browsers and use a bunch of html5 things that only safari supports.

so while i'm looking forward to html5 being a thing and ruling my face, this just seems like a backhanded apple saying "check out what our shit can do!".

...and now i will go back to enjoying the demos on my ipad.

The push makes sense, but feels like Apple's throwing a temper tantrum. The super exclusive "use our stuff and no one else's" policy they have has always erked me a bit.
