    Thank you guys!

Yes, the skeletal pieces are a 3d model.
I don't (unfortunately) have much illustrational skills so i use photography & 3d modeling/rendering in my works.

Actually the whole covers (back e front) are 3d models, that's why textures look so realistic.

I agree with derek about logo dimensions, but record label wanted 'em to be that big.

    Looks awesome!

I used the same technique (3d model+photoshop) on Eat Me Clown's CD artwork, i posted it in another thread but it didn't get any comment and i don't want to fill the art forum with tons of personal threads...

I suppose the code is just for those who work with major band, right?

Diggin em both man! I really like the eat me clown artwork especially, but I think it would a lot cleaner if you lost the clown head in the type. Great work

Thank you sam! That's the band logo, inside the booklet i put the skull even without the logo and it's definetly cleaner.

I drawn a plain vector over this skull and came out with the band gig banner:

Ugh. I hate clowns and I just know this gave me nightmares tonight.
    Both designs look great though.
What app do you use for 3D? - just curious.
  • MarcoBrunato on Mar 16, 2010

I mainly use Rhinoceros for modeling and V-ray for rendering, and sometimes i switch to Cinema 4d.

The skull for eat me clown's artwork comes from a whole 3d skeleton model i bought, it's highly detailed. I just modified it a bit and add the nose.

Butterfly for Wankerss was made heavy modifyng e re-assembling several parts of that 3d skeleton model.

Skeleton Clown is coming to you tonight, i'm sorry jason...

Whatever. I just won't go to sleep tonight.

Checked out your site. You got some great work there. You use that 3D well.

I think you should give the album name a secondary text treatment and use that for the track listing on the back
I think that the back is a little hard to read.

    and shrink the legal

Thank you kyle, i had the same doubt about the use of different fonts.
The fact is that the concept was an ancient book cover so i couldn't figure out what other font i could use.
