The Revival Tour is something put together by Chuck Ragan (of Hot Water Music) where musicians are invited to tour and play together in the spirit of the American folk revival of the 50's and 60's.
This year sees Chuck (& Jon and Joe, his band-mates) joined by Brian Fallon, Dan Andriano, and Dave Hause - along with a few friends along the way.
With this poster, right from the beginning I had it in my head I wanted it to feature trees or nature in some way. I also wanted to capture something about the soothing and inspiring nature of music and I like the idea that the old man, who perhaps finds solace in playing his battered old guitar as he wanders, happens upon a place in the woods where the Tour's Players have already left their mark.
At least that's the narrative I like to imagine.
